Yes, you do need to be able to swim. You don’t have to be an Olympic champion and we will provide you with Buoyancy Aids which will help you to float.

However, you do need to be comfortable in the water and happy enough to kick your legs or move your arms while floating with the buoyancy aid.

What do I need to bring?

We will be providing you with a bouyancy aid, helmets and safety equipment.

You will need swimwear/clothing that you don’t mind getting wet. Try arriving kitted out in shorts or leggings, a t-shirt and a fleece jacket or windbreaker, so that you are ready to go out on the water.

If you have your own wetsuit or wetsuit booties, wet shoes please arrive in them.

Alternatively, you can rent a wetsuit for €5 pp.

Participants will also need to bring a towel and swim wear.

Are there changing rooms & showers?

Changing facilities will be gazebos and there are no shower facilities.

What do we do with our valuables?

We do not have safety lockers for your valuables and we would advise that you leave any valuables at home.

There are facilities you can store your car keys and the center may be locked up at times during some sessions, so you could leave valuables.

However, Nevsail does not take responsibility for lost or stolen property.

Is there parking on site?

There is not any car parking on site, but there is plenty of car parking very near by. At our activity centers in both Limerick and in Kilkee Co Clare. The Potato Car Park is right next to us in Limerick.
